Legacy Data™
Company data, licensed for AI.
Whether your company is operating, winding down or closed, we help you license its operational records, such as internal communications, SOPs, project histories, CRM records and support tickets, to AI developers. Before any records reach a buyer, a de-identification vendor your company engages removes or de-identifies personal data, including names, contact details and credentials. We never take custody of your data.
- NDA before detailed discussions
- We never take custody of your data
Sellers pay us no fee. Buyers pay us separately, and we take no share of the amount paid to you. We disclose how buyers pay us before you sign our agreement, and how much, once known, before you sign with a buyer.
What records are worth depends on what they contain, their condition and buyer demand. After an initial review we will give you our assessment. Nothing is guaranteed.
- 1. Introductory call. We review what the company holds, who controls it, and whether a further step is appropriate. Please do not send files. If the matter proceeds, we sign a confidentiality agreement before detailed discussions.
- 2. Authority and agreement. We ask for evidence of who can approve the deal. In an operating company, that is usually the board or an officer it has authorised. In a closure or court process, it may be a liquidator, trustee, administrator, receiver, assignee or secured lender, and court approval may be needed. You sign our agreement. Only then do we describe the records to AI training-data buyers, and you can say no to any buyer.
- 3. Identifiers removed, contract agreed. Before any transfer, a specialist de-identification vendor engaged by the company removes or masks names, contact details, credentials and other direct identifiers. The buyer contract sets use restrictions and bans re-identification. We never take custody of the data.
- 4. You decide. You can refuse any buyer. If you approve a deal, payment is made on the terms of the buyer contract. If the company is still operating, it may be able to keep using its records, if the buyer agrees to a non-exclusive licence.
Customer and end-user records, call recordings and product logs are offered only after a rights and privacy review, and some will be excluded. Health records, children's data, HR, payroll and compensation records, credentials, client-held material and privileged material are never offered.
